A French neoclassical mansion at 28 Tang Bat Ho, in the heart of Hanoi

Maison Vie

Nestled in a French neoclassical mansion at 28 Tang Bat Ho Street, Maison Vie has long been a familiar destination for lovers of French cuisine and French culture in the heart of Hanoi.

Maison Vie is the life's work of Mr. Truong Quang Thanh, CEO and Founder of the restaurant. His journey in hospitality began in mid-1996, and over three decades he has devoted himself entirely to European and French gastronomy. He learned the craft from the ground up — starting as a waiter, then bartender, moving on to shift captain, supervisor, restaurant and bar manager, and eventually Director of Food & Beverage at a four-star hotel. In December 2015, he brought all of that experience together and opened Maison Vie: a place where genuine French dining culture meets warm Vietnamese hospitality.

With 30 years of expertise behind every detail, Maison Vie promises exceptional dishes and heartfelt service, delivered by skillful chefs and a dedicated team.

L'Excellence

Exceptional Quality

A French neoclassical mansion, French style of service, a French chef, and high-quality French cuisine — the complete French experience under one roof.

01

Food Quality

We take food safety as seriously as flavor. Our kitchen strictly follows FEFO (First Expired, First Out) rotation; we never serve products past their date; all ingredients are handled and prepared safely, with rigorous hand hygiene before and after handling food; and every dish is prepared and served at proper, safe temperatures.

02

Elegant Interior & Design

Inspired by French neoclassical architecture, Maison Vie carries a quiet, luxurious beauty — an elegant presence on a busy Hanoi street. The mansion's soft white façade and gently patterned arches create a graceful architectural portrait, while opening the space to fresh air and natural light. Savoring refined French dishes in this classical, opulent setting becomes a splendid memory for even the most discerning guests.

03

Quality Atmosphere

Every element of the dining room is a deliberate choice: carefully designed lighting, thoughtfully selected music, tasteful décor, and a spotless space — all so that guests can fully relax and enjoy the moment.

04

Full Options & Convenience

We accept American Express, Mastercard, Visa, JCB and more. Guests also enjoy free Wi-Fi, attentive waitstaff, street parking, and valet parking.

Our Values

At Maison Vie, every meal is a promise — one we have kept through three values that have remained unchanged for a decade.

01

French Technique

We hold absolute respect for the foundations of classical French cuisine: from stocks simmered to the minute and sauces built by the book, to cooking temperatures precise to the degree. Technique is never for show — it is how each ingredient reaches the finest version of itself.

02

Vietnamese Terroir

France gives us the method; the Vietnamese land gives us the soul. Hanoi herbs, seafood from the central coast, produce from the Da Lat highlands — every season and every region of Vietnam holds a place of honour on Maison Vie's French table.

03

Hospitality

We believe even the finest dish is incomplete without genuine care. Every guest who steps through the doors of Maison Vie is welcomed as if coming home — with the thoughtfulness of Hanoi and the service standards of a fine-dining restaurant.
